Project Description:  30 meter high advertising billboard structure erected on a restricted site adjacent the M4 motorway near Hammersmith.

Typically, billboards are considered as eyesores within townscapes; this 30m high structure by Studio 303 was commissioned by enlightened billboard company Van Wagner to accommodate advertising display units.  Positioned strategically on a restricted site adjacent the M4 motorway, this structure, triangular on plan, rises as 3 distinct sculptural monoliths’, two of which face the motorway in each direction and house illuminated billboard space.  A concealed steel structure is galvanised and supported via a pile cap on a grid of 7-8m deep piles, clad in face fixed aluminium composite panels.  The tower is the first in to be built in a series of other similar innovative billboard structures, designed by Studio 303 for Van Wagner.
